"If you are passionate about what you do, you will be very successful." This is my motto and it has represented my life's work. I graduated in 1979 with my degree in Interior Design from Texas Tech University. The past twenty-nine years have brought me innumerable career challenges and accomplishments.
In 1992, I completed designing the executive offices and main lobby for Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie. This job came as a career milestone. There were so many facets that had to be considered and when the final product came to fruition, all parties were very pleased. In 2006 Lockheed Martin of Fort Worth asked me to work on another project. That year, I completed design work for the executive boardroom and main lobby.
Another key client was Donald Curry, the welterweight boxing champion in 1989. He was wonderful to work with. He simply threw me the keys to his home and said; "I'll see you in 6 weeks!" How can you top that! Then, Julio Franco came along. At that time he was the second baseman for the Texas Rangers and he was a thrill to work with. When I finished his house, I turned his garage into a gym that was equipped with every amenity.
I have also completed several model homes for both Standard Pacific and Choice Homes, countless offices for many professionals, and fabulous residences for some of Dallas/Fort Worth's finest citizens.
Lately, remodeling has been a new passion for me. I love to take a tired space and breathe new life into it. When our clients trust us to run with it we really shine. I recently installed a red onyx floor in a master bath during a massive remodeling project. The client trusted my judgment and that bathroom has become the talk of the town.
Everyday I go to work, I am excited about what I will complete. Nothing is more gratifying than the compliments we receive when the project is complete. I am so happy that I followed my passion and chose to be in the field that I am in.
